My client are a medical device company based in Athlone. Their site is easily accessible from surrounding counties in the midlands: East Galway, Westmeath, Roscommon, Longford and Offaly. As Senior Quality Engineer, you would be reporting to the Quality Director of your area. You will be a leader in quality management of the company's contract manufacturers and finished goods. You will be responsible for guiding junior quality engineers in the area. Some of the responsibilities will include:
- Identify and issue SCARs
- Complete risk assessment and validations and device evaluations
- Facilitate external regulatory and customer audits.
- Serve as the QA focal point for the Bought-In Finished Goods relationship.
- Implement continuous improvement processes
- Supplier Change controls
- Monitor and control progress of supplier quality projects
You are a quality engineer professional/similar with minimum 5 years industry experience. You have a level 8 degree in a science/engineering field. You're capable of working to deadlines and have good working knowledge of quality systems & regulatory requirements (ISO13485). You have previous ERP system experience e.g. SAP/Oracle.
